Southern California Forest Conservation Alternative

Southern California's national forests (Los Padres, Angeles, San Bernardino and Cleveland) provide critical habitat for steelhead trout runs listed under the Endangered Species Act.

Environmental organizations, scientists, and technical experts developed and presented a new management plan for these four national forests that would greatly improve the Forest Service's stewardship of these lands. The Center for Biological Diversity's Western Native Trout Campaign provided technical expertise and helped develop watershed and trout habitat protection and restoration measures in this new plan. more
